Training Pen and Stuff

Ella came out and helped get the "round" pen put up today. It actually went up very quickly and without trouble. I'm quite thankful she was willing to swap a few lessons for the panels we used! You can see the chicken coop in this picture. The little paddock on that side of the barn is for the chickens. Ben is going to take the heavy roof off the coop and put on a vented tin roof like the barn.

Another view of the puppy training area. It's kind of a "baseball diamond", as we used a corner from the existing fence.

Three of my pretty SuffolkXDorset girls.

More of the new pen.

Here's a picture that shows a pretty good view of how big it is. We worked 6 puppies this afternoon and the pen seemed just perfect. It was plenty big, but yet we were able to block the pups if needed, and the sheep were never able to get too far away from the puppies so they'd not lose interest. Probably the best thing is that it's back in the trees, so it's always shade. The sheep live on the other side of the barn, so as you can see, they also always have shade.
